Boating Safety Course

America’s Boating Course 3rd Edition

The ABC3 course covers Federal and Florida State boating regulations.  Students completing the course are eligible for an 18-month membership for their first year in the U.S. Power Squadrons. Among other benefits, members can take advanced courses for Free, a significant cost savings available exclusively to St. Lucie River Power Squadron members.

Florida Boating Safety Education ID Card

Individuals completing the course earn the Florida Boating Safety Education ID Card. Temporary ID cards are issued upon completion of the course and final exam.  Permanent plastic ID cards are mailed a couple weeks later by the State of Florida.

  • Students 18 years or younger can attend the ABC3 course for FREE
  • Minors 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult
  • Student Manuals will be provided on a loaner basis during the class, but must be returned at the the end
  • Student Manuals are available for purchase separately for $32 (see registration options)
  • Age verification required for students 18 years or younger in order to qualify for the FREE ABC3 Course
  • Open to boaters in Martin and St. Lucie counties

America’s Boating Course 3rd Edition is certified by NASBLA (National Association of State Boating Laws Administrators). The course is taught by certified instructors who are members of the St. Lucie River Power Squadron.
