The following seminars are available starting Fall 2026 & Winter 2027. Each seminar will be approximately 2 hours. Seminars are presented in the Boardroom upstairs in the clubhouse at the Stuart Corinthian Yacht Club, 4725 SE Capstan Ave, Stuart, FL 34997.
Seminars are open to the general public. You are not required to be a member to attend any of these seminars.
Seminars are Free for SLRPS & SCYC members, $20 for non-members.

Sail and Sail Trim Seminar

Topics for this seminar are derived from the “Introduction to Sailing, A Basic Guide to Learning How to Sail and How Sailboats Function” booklet from USPS. The seminar will review sailboat types and explain the concepts of sail adjustment (sail trim). The topics covered are designed for someone who wants to understand sail management actions on a sailboat to optimize comfort, safety and efficiency.

This seminar provides a fundamental introduction to the operation, advantages, and limitations of Global Positioning Systems used on marine craft.
